 Netbook review

What makes netbooks different?
Computers are devises that have revolutionized information processing. There role as information processors is so key to their functionality to the extent that for anyone seeking to buy a computer, this capability is what is much sought after.

Netbook computers have however brought in a new dimension in shopping for a computer. This is the smallest computer that comes with most features contained in a conventional computer e.g. laptop. Size and weight is the most important feature of this mini- computer.
More often than note, people have confused netbooks with laptops. To make it clear from the beginning, Netbooks are not laptops! This is despite the fact that both share lots of similarities.  The shared features include the fact that both of them can perform many equal tasks. This include being portable and convenient for travelers, connecting to the internet, playing computer games, storing and playing music among others. You could also install either windows or linux operating system and use it to perform word processing.
The other similarity is in the fact that the netbook has bonus features. Some of these include blue tooth technology, express card slots and options for cellular modems.

The difference between netbook and laptop is therefore a difficult thing to point out. In fact most buyers have come asking for the ‘smaller laptops’. Here are some of the differences:
The most obvious difference is the size of the netbook. Most of them come in compact shape with the screen measuring between 8 inches and 10 inches. This makes it the smallest and most comprehensive mini computers. Most laptops that are smaller have a screen size of about 15 inches.
Due to the small size, the weight of netbook is far smaller too. On average, it weights about 2.2Ibs. This weight if converted to metric terms measures about one kilogram. This is comparatively very light weight.
The keyboard is another feature that differentiates the netbook from the laptop. Because of its condensed size, it lacks some keys on the pad. This forces the user to learn to combine some keys or learn more short cuts. If you are used to the conventional laptop keypad, then you may need to read the user’s guide more carefully or learn from the experts again.

Because the netbooks may rely on many other external devices such as printer or external hard drive, it will often have a little too many ports. Some of the devises that have been within the country. These are because of needed connect to a webcam, card reader, card reader.
The netbook owns a software that is run on Intel Atom platform, which is made up of the Atom processor. Integrated graphics platforms is also provided for with the 512MB to 1GB of RAM.
Simply put, netbook is one of the most convenient computer technology. Its popularity is not only among the people who travel a lot, but also among those who want to travel light.  It is a great revolution that seems to have come at the best time.
